The Stalnaker Cemetery Trust was established on the 3rd day of June, 1977, for the perpetual care and maintenance of the Stalnaker Cemetery located on State Route 5, approximately one mile west of the City of Glenville, Gilmer County, West Virginia. The original trustees were Jack V. Stalnaker, C. Jack Luzader, and Hazel F. Gerwig.
The care and maintenance of Stalnaker Cemetery provided by the Trust includes the maintenance of the roadways, mowing, signage, and expansion of the cemetery. The Trustees make annual reports to the Gilmer County Commission, showing the receipts and disbursements for the preceding year, on a calendar year basis.
The Trust is a 501(c)(13) type. IRS Publication 78 indicates the Trust is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions, but always check with your own tax professional.
